Glen Creek Gorge

The Glen Creek Gorge Trail in Watkins Glen State Park, New York, is a breathtaking hike that takes visitors through a narrow, scenic gorge. The trail is approximately 1.5 miles long and features 19 waterfalls, stone bridges, and winding paths with over 800 steps. The dramatic rock formations and cascading waters make it one of the most picturesque trails in the Finger Lakes region. The trail is moderately challenging but manageable for most visitors and offers plenty of opportunities for photography and nature appreciation. It’s especially popular in the summer and fall for its lush greenery and colorful foliage.

Beyond the park, nearby Seneca Lake adds to the allure of the area with its renowned wineries, offering wine tastings and vineyard tours along the Seneca Lake Wine Trail. Visitors can also enjoy unique and charming Airbnb stays, ranging from lakeside cottages to cozy retreats nestled in the vineyards, making it an ideal destination for relaxation and exploration.

Set your GPS to 11009 N Franklin St, Watkins Glen, NY.  The entrance to the park and parking lot are just off the main street in the town of Watkins Glen.
